Get a peek at this NFL franchise’s luxurious new stadium

The Tennessee Titans released a video showing renderings of their new stadium that’s set to open in 2027.

The Titans currently play at the Nissan Stadium, which opened in 1999, but are moving to this fully enclosed stadium which is being built right next door.

The cost? $2.1 billion, of which $1.26 billion will be paid by public money, a record number in terms of public funding. The remaining $840 million will be handled by the Titans through NFL loans and other funding means.

DON’T MISS: This city just set a record to fund its new NFL stadium

The franchise is owned by Amy Adams Strunk and is valued at $4.37 billion in Sportico’s latest projections, which is 21st in the NFL.

While the stadium is setting a record price for public funding, it’s nowhere near the price of the most expensive football stadium. That title belongs to Stan Kroenke’s SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, which cost at least $5 billion and houses both the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers.

The team is looking to attract more major events to Tennessee with this new stadium, including the Super Bowl, college football and college basketball tournament games.

The stadium, which is expected to have a capacity of 60,000, looks to have a pretty unique design in the video, with a black, rectangular outer shape with blue lights that accent the futuristic look.

The video showed the luxury suites and different angles from inside the stadium, while highlighting the commercial areas on the outside of the stadium.
